SOMOS UNA OBRA DE ARTE

Hace casi 4 años, con un grupo de estudio de 13 mujeres, con la inquietud de descubrirnos como féminas, iniciamos una pequeña investigación en una clase en la escuela que se llamó “El desarrollo del Arte”. 

Buscamos definiciones, etimología, concomitancias y significados de palabras que nos dieran la idea de “Arte” y “Bellas Artes”[1]:

¿Qué es Arte? y ¿A qué se les llama “Bellas Artes”? 

Según el diccionario de la Real Academia Española, se consideran “Bellas Artes” a todas aquellas artes que tienen como objeto expresar BELLEZA. 

Según el diccionario www.definicion.de , Arte proviene del latín ARS, concepto que engloba todas las creaciones realizadas por el ser humano para expresar una visión sensible acerca del mundo, ya sea real o imaginario. Mediante recursos plásticos, lingüísticos o sonoros, el arte permite expresar ideas, emociones, percepciones y sensaciones. Con la aparición del Homo Sapiens, el arte tuvo una función ritual y mágico-religiosa y con el tiempo ha ido cambiando. La definición de arte ha variado de acuerdo a la época y a la cultura.

Algunas de las palabras concomitantes y más repetitivas que encontramos dentro del concepto de BELLEZA como expresión del arte fueron:

Algunas de las muchas frases que encontramos son las siguientes:

• "Lo que realmente nos define como artistas en relación a otros, es lo que más se asemeja a nosotros, lo que realmente quisiéramos ser”.[2]
• El Arte es la consciencia de posibilidades y probabilidades de los recursos disponibles para actuar y fusionarnos con todo.[3]
• El Arte es una forma de vida. Cuando nos pensamos y sentimos como artistas, no hay límites. Todos los sentidos tienen que participar, y así, el arte es un motivo de gozo.[4]
• Mientras más tomemos referencias de la Creación, más artística será la obra de arte.[5]
• Para vivir la vida como un artista, tenemos que actuar y pensar con una intención de amor en todo lo que hacemos. Todo tiene su arte, la actitud será de una permanente alerta para que la vulgaridad no aparezca.[6]
• Belleza es el esplendor de todas las propiedades del ser reunidos: unidad, verdad y bondad.[7]
• La belleza reside en el corazón de quien la contempla.[8]
• La bondad es una inclinación natural a hacer el bien, es una profunda comprensión de las personas y sus necesidades, siempre paciente y con ánimo equilibrado. Tiende a ver lo bueno en los demás porque evita enjuiciar las actitudes de los demás. Es capaz de “sentir” lo que otros sienten, haciéndose solidario al ofrecer soluciones.[9]
• La armonía es un concepto cosmológico griego. Explica un orden vivo y articulado del universo, entre una realidad sensible y la razón, donde ambas se oponen: luz-tinieblas, vida-muerte, juventud-vejez, etc. Los contrarios son una misma cosa, en su lucha se unifican las oposiciones y brota de cosas diferentes una bellísima armonía.[10]
• La armonía es un estado cuya expresión espiritual es el amor.[11]
• Si el gobernante se impone por sus cualidades y mantiene el orden en armonía con las buenas costumbres, el pueblo sentirá vergüenza de actuar mal y avanzará por el camino de la virtud.[12]
• No hay ni uno solo de los astros que contemplas, que en sus evoluciones, no cante como un ángel del cielo y que no una su voz al coro de los querubines de cándidos ojos. Esta misma armonía se encuentra en las almas inmortales. Pero en tanto que llevemos puestas las groseras vestiduras de fango y corrupción con que nos cubrimos, no podremos oírla.[13]
• Goethe declaró que la belleza humana actuaba con mucha mayor fuerza sobre los sentidos interiores que sobre los exteriores. De modo que lo que se contempla, está exento del mal y el que contempla se siente en armonía con él y con el mundo.[14]
• Si tengo que plantearme cómo debe ser mi carácter, tengo que pensar que tiene que ser de tal forma que sistemáticamente, tengo que estar buscando el sentido de la unión, el sentido del equilibrio, el sentido de la armonía.[15]
• La belleza y la armonía están implícitas en la propia naturaleza humana, no todas las personas pueden convertirse en compositores o escritores o artistas de la plástica; también lo es el hecho de apreciar y amar lo hermoso inherente a la espiritualidad que destaca entre los seres humanos.[16]
• El arte no debería de ser algo excepcional, sino una forma de vida.[17]
• La belleza, nos lleva a la solidaridad, a la empatía con el otro, a la armonía, a tratar de estar en circunstancias de equilibrio con la gente que nos rodea.[18]
• La belleza del Lenguaje: "Cuando los hombres hablen mejor se sentirán mejor en compañía, y más delicadamente...porque la lengua es una potencia vinculante que está en razón directa de lo bien que se hable, de la capacidad del hablante que pone en palabras propias sus pensamientos, actuaciones y afectos".[19]
• “En la imagen evolutiva del Espíritu en la Creación, el sentido y sentir de la belleza, es el impulso más sutil del espíritu”.[20]

Hace casi 4 años nos sorprendimos de los conceptos alrededor de los que la belleza como expresión de arte se mueve… ¡Es en otra dimensión!

Ahora, al leer el libro de Sacerdotisas[21], en la segunda[22] y cuarta estancias[23] nos encontramos con los siguientes títulos: “La belleza como vehículo alquímico de sanación”, “El cultivo de la belleza y Sensibilización hacia la belleza[24], y con más claridad nos damos cuenta de que el estilo de vida en el que estamos sumergidos en la actualidad, no corresponde a UNA OBRA DE ARTE, no corresponde a una expresión de BELLEZA.

Poco ejercitamos el sentido y significado de lo que nos describen estas palabras, aún sabiendo que el lenguaje condiciona nuestro comportamiento. Nos damos cuenta del deterioro y la vulgaridad de este tiempo. Consideramos “urgente” rescatarnos como la Creación nos pensó, como una Obra de Arte original, ya que somos únicos e irrepetibles.

“Las Mujeres” somos la expresión de esa Obra de Arte, y como tales, necesitamos recuperar el sentido del sacerdocio, que implica estar en unión con Dios [25], realizar nuestras acciones “en el Nombre de Él”, necesitamos cultivar la belleza, sensibilizarnos ante ella, recogernos en ese Soplo Espiritual Sensible, en esa Fuerza Misteriosa, como Sacerdotisas.

“No hay patrones universales de belleza, al menos no hay un patrón único. Podemos afirmar que todo puede adquirir un sentido de belleza si tenemos a el arte como recurso. De este modo se anulan las respuestas codificadas, los modelos y patrones que la definen, y se disuelven los barrotes que hicieron de la belleza un elemento esclavizante”[26].

WE ARE A MASTER PIECE OF ART

Almost 4 years ago, a group of 13 women, inquisitive to learn something about their origin as females, started a little investigation group called “Development of Art”.

We began looking for words which would widen ideas about art and fine arts.

¿What is art? ¿What are “fine arts”?

The Royal Spanish Academy dictionary, considers “fine arts as that art which has the purpose to express BEAUTY”.

According to the www.definicion.de dictionary, the word “art” derives from the Latin word “ars”, which is a concept that encompass and enhances all creativity that expresses a sensible vision about the world, whether real or imaginary.

Through plastic, linguistic or sound recourses, art allows the expressing of ideas, emotions, perceptions and sensations. With the Homo Sapiens appearance, art became a ritual and magical-religious function which definition has been modifying during the passing time and changes in culture.

Some of the concomitant and most repetitive words related to the concept of art as an expression of beauty are listed below:

The following are some of a number of the phrases that we came up with:

•  “What really defines people as artists, in relation to others, is that which is similar in everyone, is that which we truly want to be”.[1]
•  Art is the consciousness of possibilities and probabilities of all resources that are available, to behave and to be in fusion with all what exists.[2]
• Art is a way of living. When we think and feel as artists, there are no limits. All senses must participate. In this way, art becomes a joyful motive of living.[3] 
• When considering most of the references of Creation, masterpiece will tend to be more artistic.[4]
• To live life as artists, we must behave and think with an intention of love in everything we do. Everything is art, however an attitude of permanent alert is necessary to avoid the emergence of vulgarity.[5]
• Beauty is a splendorous amalgam of all of the being´s properties or virtues: unity, truthfulness and kindness.[6]
• Beauty resides in the heart of who contemplates it.[7]
• Goodness is a natural inclination to be good to others. It is a profound comprehension of people and their needs, always patient and with a balanced temperament. It tends to see what is good in others, avoiding judging attitudes and being capable to feel what others feel, being jointly liable while offering solutions.[8] 
• Harmony is a Greek cosmological concept. It explains a living order and a union with the universe where sensible reality and reason are opponents: light-darkness, life-death, youth-oldness, etc. The contraries are part the same thing and in the contest these opposing extremes unite to form a beautiful harmony.[9] 
• Harmony is a way of living in which the spiritual expression is love.[10] 
• If the governor imposes his own qualities and maintains order and harmony with good costumes, people will feel ashamed to behave in a bad manner and will continue on a path of virtue.[11] 
• There is no star that you contemplate, that in its evolution does not sing as the angels of heaven and don´t harmonize their voice to the chores of cherubs with candid eyes. The same harmony can be found in the immortal souls. But men while wearing that grotesque robe of mud and corruption cannot listen to their singings.[12] 
• Goethe stated that human beauty acted stronger with the inside senses than with the outside ones, in such a way that what one contemplates is lack of evil, feeling in this way in harmony with oneself and with the world.[13] 
• If I must revise how my character must be, I must think systematically that I must search the sense of union, the sense of balance and the sense of harmony.[14] 
• Beauty and harmony are implicit in human nature. Not every person can become into a composer, a writer or a plastic artist. Beauty and harmony means also to appreciate and to love what is beautiful, what is inherent to spirituality that enhances among the human beings.[15] 
• Art shouldn’t be something exceptional, but a way of living.[16] 
• Beauty takes us to solidarity, to empathize with others, to harmony, to try to stay in balance with those who are around.[17] 
• Beauty in the language: “When men will speak better, they will feel in company with the rest and feel more delicate, because languages are a potency which joins everyone and which is linked directly to the good speaking, to the capacity of the speaker, who uses his own words while expressing his thoughts, while behaving and showing his affections".[18] 
• “In the evolution image of the spirit in the Creation, the sense and feeling of beauty, is the most subtle impulse of the Spirit”.[19]  

After 4 years, we read the “Priestess, (women in holy orders)”[20]. In the second[21] and in the fourth abodes[22], one can read: “Beauty as alchemy of healing” and “Cultivation of beauty and Sensibility to Beauty”.[23]

We have searched the etymology and the meaning of the list of words mentioned above and we were surprised about the concepts considering Beauty as an art expression eases…. ¡It really moves into another dimension!

Reading the “Priestess” book, we also came to see that lifestyle in which we are submerged does not correspond to a “Master piece of Art” and it does not correspond to an expression of beauty. We exercise almost nothing of the sense and the meaning of these words, and know that the language conditions our behavior. We can see the deterioration and the vulgarity of these times. We consider it urgent to rescue our very “being”, exactly as it was conceived by the Creation, - as an original masterpiece of art, as unique and unrepeatable human beings.

“Women are the expression of that masterpiece of art, and we need to recuperate that sense of the Priestess, of women in holy order, that implicates being join with God[24]; we need to do and make everything in His name”; we need to cultivate beauty, to become sensible to it, to surrender to that Sensible, Spiritual Strength, in that Mysterious Strength of the Priestess.

“There are not universal patterns of Beauty; at least, there is not a unique pattern”.

We can affirm that everything can acquire a sense of beauty if we take art as that resource.

In this way, all responses which are codified will be annulated; all models, patterns and

iron bars that have converted beauty into an element of slavery, can be dissolved”.[25]
